Food: Insects, arachnids, eggs, small mammals, reptiles
Meerkats in a mob (group) take turns babysitting the newborn pups in the burrow. Often going all day without food, the sitter’s main job is to protect pups from meerkats in rival mobs who, if given the chance, will kill the babies.
