Go behind the scenes for an up-close encounter with some of the Zoos oldest and most beloved residents – the Galapagos tortoises! This 20-minute experience is led by an OKC Zoo Brand Ambassador, as well as one of the expert caretakers from the Zoo’s herpetology team. Guests will learn more about the tortoises, their new habitat, unique personalities and what the Zoo is doing to help them thrive in their habitat as well as the world. Guests must sign a waiver in the Guest Services office prior to the encounter. No children aged 2 and younger can participate in Wild Encounter / Behind the Scenes tours. Groups meet at the Galapagos tortoise habitat at 1:00 p.m.
